What is HackMoral 4.0 ?

Hack Moral 4.0 is a mini hackathon hosted by the INTECS of the Faculty of Information Technology, University of Moratuwa. It is a focused 5-hour competition. All the challenges you are going to be facing on the HackerRank platform are set by our team of exceptional question moderators. This event is exclusive for technophiles of FIT19. During the event, you can showcase your problem-solving skills to hunt for points by reaching out to the solutions.

Live leaderboard metrics will let you know how your colleagues are performing and will keep you motivated to drive results by improving on your past performance. Tune the pitch and let the game on!

How it works

Second-year undergraduates of the Faculty of IT, University of Moratuwa get the opportunity to get registered for Hack Moral 4.0 as individual competitors. Once you are done with that can participate with your approved HackerRank account. Further details will be received via the email address provided in the registration.

The practice playground will take place from the 16th of February 2022 in which you can get a better idea of the way you may need to process for the upcoming competitive hours. Once the competition is announced you need to discover the solutions for enigmas presented to you.

Commencement of Registration

Awareness Session

A brief discussion will be conducted to make the competitors aware of Hack Moral 4.0.

Opening the Playground

This is a practice playground set for the competitors to sharpen their skills and computational thinking before the upcoming competitive hours.

Every competitor must be registered for the competition before the deadline.

The Game Day

It's the day! Competitors can make their way to the winners' table by untangling the challenges given via HackerRank playground.

This commences at the end of the event and winners will be announced.

Distributing E-certificates

Finally, certificates for the competitors will be distributed and the event will be concluded.

rules & regulations

  • Hack Moral 4.0 is exclusively for the second-year undergraduates of the Faculty of Information Technology.
  • The competition will be driving for 5 hours from the commencement time. (6.00pm - 11.00pm).
  • The entire competition is conducted on the HackerRank platform and it consists of questions that are ranked as Easy, Medium, and Hard.
  • Points earned through HackerRank will be accounted for 100% of the total points earned.
  • Undergraduates can access the HackerRank playground in the competition as an individual competitor, only utilizing the accounts approved by the Hack Moral 4.0 organizing committee.
  • The ranking process of the competitors is done based on the score earned by solving the problems and the time taken for each problem.
  • Acts of plagiarism will be checked and penalties will be accounted for in the final results.
  • The committee of Hack Moral 4.0 will be publishing the marks and the rank earned by each competitor at the end of the competition.
  • The Hack Moral 4.0 committee's decisions on all matters will be final.
  • Any violation of the rules committed before or during the competition will lead the competitor towards ineligibility for the ranking on Hack Moral 4.0 evaluation.
